Bigfork Family Fun Fest is April 22
The 11 a.m.-3 p.m. event hosted by the Bigfork Parent Teacher Association will have food trucks, a bouncy house, dunk tank, duck pond, face painting and more, including a silent auction.

Distribution events are 11 a.m.-noon April 24, May 22 and June 26 on Great Northern Drive Southwest in Bagley.

Senior companion volunteers are age 55 and older and visit older adults weekly offering encouragement, sharing their time and talents, assisting with errands, grocery shopping and transportation to appointments to assist older adults in remaining healthy and independent.

The collection showcases photography by four middle and high school youths who committed to a two-week photography camp under the mentorship of artist-in-residence Falcon Gott of Sapotaweyak Cree Nation and three other area professional photographers.
High winds, low humidity bring critical fire danger in Northern Minn.
North winds ranging 15-25 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph combined with relative humidity as low as 20% means any fires that ignite may spread rapidly and become difficult to control.
New art exhibit on display at Brainerd Public Library
The exhibit includes 20 pieces of mixed media, alcohol inks and acrylic paintings. The artwork on display at the library includes not only a mix of mediums used, but representational as well as abstract subject matters, a news release stated.
White, Isham earn Anishinaabe Arts Initiative fellowships
The council is a body comprised of Indigenous artists and arts appreciators from the region. The AAI Fellowship is made possible by the support of the McKnight Foundation and aims to assist the region’s most talented enrolled tribal members and descendants in their artwork.

Drawing in students throughout Minnesota from local fire departments and tribal, state and federal wildland fire management agencies, the academy is one of Minnesota's largest interagency fire training events.
