The boys and girls golf teams from Walker-Hackensack-Akeley qualified for the 2025 state golf tournament.

Nine Northern Minnesota teams advanced in total, plus another 40+ individuals from 26 Northland schools. The state golf tournament begins Tuesday.

Nine Northern Minnesota golf teams will swing in the state tournament next week, plus dozens of solo golfers from the region.

Both the boys and girls teams from Badger-Greenbush-Middle River, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley and Detroit Lakes will compete in the tournament Tuesday and Wednesday, June 10-11, on courses in and around the Twin Cities.

The Cloquet boys also qualified, as did the Pequot Lakes and Rock Ridge girls, marking the Wolverines' third straight qualification.

Over 40 individuals from 26 Northland schools also qualified, including three from Hermantown, Hibbing, Pine River-Backus and Fertile-Beltrami, whose boys won the single-A team title last year.

Walker’s Parker Brock returns as the defending single-A champ.

All golfers compete for individual titles, whether they qualified on their own or as a team.

Class A will compete at Pebble Creek in Becker, 2A at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan and 3A at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.

Tickets are not needed to attend in person, but a $25 ticket is needed to follow along with the Minnesota State High School League golf app.
