Emma Krab
Grand Rapids Area ReporterEmma Krab joined KAXE in July of 2026 as a news reporter covering Grand Rapids and the Arrowhead region.
She holds English and journalism degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and she earned her MFA from Iowa State University in 2026. Previously, Emma served as a student reporter for Nebraska Public Media and contributed to the New Territory, Little Village Magazine, and Platte Basin Timelapse. Her 2023 podcast, In Our Nature: Nebraska, received national awards from the Broadcast Educators Association and the National Broadcast Society.
Emma is a seventh-generation western Nebraskan who is excited to trade prairies for pines. In her work as an essayist and writer of short fiction, she often centers the experiences of rural Americans, and she’s currently pursuing publication of her first novel.
