Daniel Latterell's body was found in the same area as his partner's body was found a week earlier north of Aitkin.

Law enforcement found a body that is believed to be 62-year-old Jane Korpela near Aitkin on Sunday, June 29, 2025. The search continues for her partner Daniel Latterell.

Brainerd senior Ty Nelson won another triple jump title Thursday, June 12, 2025, as Northern Minnesota 2A and 3A teams collectively won 88 medals at the state track and field meet.

Nine Northern Minnesota teams advanced in total, plus another 40+ individuals from 26 Northland schools. The state golf tournament begins Tuesday.

Daniel Latterall, 64, and Jane Korpela, 63, were last seen on May 25, 2025.

Eight individuals from Northern Minnesota will also compete at state from Rock Ridge, Hibbing, Cloquet and Thief River Falls.
