Lake Bemidji State Park

Chris Lahn presented on 50 years of aspirations to wrap sewer services around the highly developed Lake Bemidji during a BSU Earth Day event on April 22, 2025.

The timed ride of either 10K or 28K distances starts on Lake Bemidji on March 1, 2025.

Events this week include "Murder on the Orient Express" in Grand Rapids, a Voyageurs Wolf Project presentation at the Sax-Zim Bog and an inclusive game night in Bemidji.

The program “Wildflowers: Vibrant and Vital” will take place 1:30-3 p.m. July 14 and 10:30-noon July 29.

“A short walk outdoors to ground us (weather permitting) is followed by writing time. No experience needed, only a wee bit of courage. This guided approach to writing helps you find your own voice and generate new writing.”

“The Story Tree: Have You Heard the Nesting Bird?” is scheduled for 10-10:45 a.m. Thursday, May 4, and Saturday, May 6, in the Visitor Center.

The state park is celebrating its 100th birthday with cake and ice cream as well as live music. Enjoy a history presentation earlier on the fight to establish the park.
