Bemidji animal shelter hosts fundraiser, upcoming spay/neuter clinics
Great River Rescue is a no-kill shelter for cats and dogs in Bemidji. Their annual Furr Bowl fundraiser is 1-3 p.m. March 23, 2025, at Bemidji Bowl. They also offer a Pet Fixers spay/neuter clinic one weekend a month from April through November.

DNR wants wildlife observations this hunting season
Minnesota deer hunters can use an online log to report wildlife they see while hunting. Data from the observation logs help the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources estimate population level trends for deer and track wildlife distribution for other species across the state.
Events Up North Jan. 5-11: Quilt guild in Bemidji, full moon hike in Cohasset
Events this week include storytelling at Long Lake Conservation Center and kick sledding at Lake Bemidji State Park.
