Events Up North Jan. 5-11: quilt guild in Bemidji, full moon hike in Cohasset

Events this week include storytelling at Long Lake Conservation Center and kick sledding at Lake Bemidji State Park.

Monday, Jan. 5

  • Brown Bag Author Series - noon at Brainerd Public Library. Candace Simar will discuss her historical fiction novels.
  • Snowshoe hike - 1:30 p.m. at Tioga Recreation Area. Every Monday and Thursday through the winter.
  • Winter Legends & Lore Storytelling Series - 5 p.m. at Long Lake Conservation Center near Palisade, featuring Hope Flanigan
  • Full moon hike - 7:30 p.m. Meet at Clay Boswell public boat landing in Cohasset
