Learn more about the tale of ecological elimination during a presentation 1-2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, in the Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center Classroom at Itasca State Park.

Events and topics include equipment ride and drive, drone flights and demonstration, pod and high tunnel tours, water quality research, agronomic research, irrigation, local foods integration, and a kids’ program featuring the AgCentric Technology Trailer.

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to two up-and-coming female musicians, as part of the Sister Song Celebration concert on Sept. 23.

This Thursday, the University of Minnesota’s North Central Research and Outreach Center (NCROC) is having its annual Visitor’s Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The director of operations at NCROC, Dan Braaten, joined the KAXE Morning Show to talk about the event.
