Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to two up-and-coming female musicians, as part of the Sister Song Celebration concert on Sept. 23.

PUPOSKY — The Mask and Rose Theater announced applications are now being accepted to award two $1,000 musical scholarships to two up-and-coming female musicians.

The scholarship is part of the Fourth Annual Sister Song Celebration concert Sept. 23.

Applications are available by emailing the artistic director, with auditions 5-7 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Wild Rose Theater, 24011 Highway 89, Puposky.
Online submissions will also be accepted in place of an audition.

The scholarships may be used for music lessons, recording sessions and website creation. The scholarships were donated by Bemidji High School grad Gerry Cardinal III and his wife Lena Yoo.

Sept. 23 also marks the first Belle Thalia Bike Fest, which will be at the same location.
