STAPLES — The annual Field Day event of Central Lakes College’s Ag and Energy Research Center features tours and an ice cream social Friday, Aug. 25, at the college’s Staples campus.
Events and topics include equipment ride and drive, drone flights and demonstration, pod and high tunnel tours, water quality research, agronomic research, irrigation, local foods integration, and a kids’ program featuring the AgCentric Technology Trailer.
A complimentary lunch is provided with sweet corn produced at the Ag Center. There is also an ice cream social in the afternoon located in the Living Legacy Gardens with a musical performance from Skall Klubben (a local Scandinavian-named violin group).
