NISSWA — A Brainerd man was killed in a motorcycle crash Tuesday, June 30, in Nisswa.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported a Chevrolet Silverado was turning southbound on Highway 371 after crossing northbound from Smiley Road at the time of the crash. Tyler Dokkebakken, 33, was on a 2021 Ducati motorcycle and made contact with the rear end of a pickup truck.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Patrol noted Dokkebakken was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The pickup driver was not injured.
Nisswa and Pequot Lakes police departments, the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, North Memorial Ambulance and Nisswa Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
