CASS LAKE — A 39-year-old Cass Lake man was treated for a gunshot wound after a shooting in the Tract 33 housing area.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area Wednesday, April 22, following reports of gunshots around 2:45 a.m. A man arrived at Cass Lake Indian Health Services hospital with a gunshot wound.
Law enforcement personnel identified and secured the vehicle involved in the incident. They also searched residences in the area in the execution of warrants. No arrests have been made and there are currently no suspects.
The shooting victim was transported to another health care facility, with the extent of his injuries currently unknown.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office and the Leech Lake Tribal Police Department are continuing their investigation.
