How did you first hear about KAXE?
Spinning the radio dial from Duluth to Grand Rapids on US Hwy 2. I just happened upon it! I am certain it was a Robbie Fulks song a volunteer DJ was spinning one weekday morning that caught my ear and never let go!

Jon Batiste - "Big Money"
Who got you into music?
My Mom! Vividly recall her playing Beatles’ "Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band" when I was five years young.
Most memorable concert or festival?
February 11, 1984, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble at Shryock Auditorium - Southern Illinois University.
Tell us about your favorite KAXE memory.
Seeing how the station, its members and listeners responded to cuts in federal funding last year. Everyone stepped up and made KAXE better for it!

What hobbies do you have outside of DJing?
I substitute teach in Bloomington Public School District, and travel globally while attempting to stay healthy!
What's a musical ick for you?
About the only musical genre I can’t take is head banging hard core thrash or doom metal.
