Candidates who receive more than 50% of the vote in the primary win their elections; otherwise, the top two vote-getters face off in a general election June 9, 2026.

CASS LAKE — The six member bands of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe hosted primary elections Tuesday, March 31.

The member bands are Bois Forte, Grand Portage, Fond du Lac, Leech Lake, Mille Lacs and White Earth. The Red Lake Nation is not part of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe due to its unique status as a sovereign tribal entity.
