GRAND RAPIDS — A Grand Rapids police K-9 seriously injured another dog Tuesday evening, May 12.

The dog needed emergency care.

GRPD stated it is working with the pet owners and is “committed to better understanding the event to ensure this never happens again.”

Police Chief Andy Morgan declined to provide additional comments. KAXE reached out to the owner of the injured dog but had not yet heard back as of Wednesday afternoon.
