Events this week include author talks in Brainerd and Bemidji, a breakfast buffet in Nashwauk, Blackberry Jam Fest, a septic health webinar and nature programs in Bemidji.

Happy Dancing Turtle is a nonprofit organization based in Pine River. Their winter bingo scavenger hunt goes through Jan. 20, 2025, and the 19th annual "Back to Basics" sustainable living event is Feb. 15.

Happy Dancing Turtle in Pine River hosts “Back to Basics,” with speakers and workshops. Mark Seeley will give the keynote address on “Climate change in our own backyard.”

Happy Dancing Turtle is offering classes for 4- and 5-year-olds to learn about sustainability and nature appreciation, beginning Monday, Sept. 11.

Participants will take photos of items listed on the bingo card and submit them either online or via email to the Pine River-based nonprofit.
