Events this week include Flapjack Festival in Brainerd, 'Annie' in Pequot Lakes, Open Mic Night in Park Rapids, Starapalooza at Long Lake Conservation Center and the Fall Bazaar in Buhl.

It's another busy week in Northern Minnesota. Here are some events to check out:

Thursday, Sept. 18

Open garden time - 1 to 4 p.m. at Happy Dancing Turtle in Pine River
Statewide Star Party - 3:30 p.m. at North Star Elementary in Virginia
Open Mic Night - Doors open at 6 p.m., performances at 7 p.m. at the Armory Arts & Event Center in Park Rapids
Poetry Slam - 6 p.m. at Fozzie's Bar-B-Q in Bemidji, hosted by the Watermark Art Center
Statewide Star Party - 7 p.m. at Blackwater Environmental Area in Cohasset
Annie - 7 p.m. at Pequot Lakes High School Auditorium

Friday, Sept. 19

Loon Country Quilters show - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids
Statewide Star Party - 7 to 10 p.m. at Olcott Park Greenhouse in Virginia

Saturday, Sept. 20

Loon Country Quilters show - 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids
Learning to Love Your Monster story time and craft - 10 a.m. at Children's Discovery Museum in Grand Rapids
5th annual Flapjack Festival and Touch a Truck - 10 a.m. to noon on Laurel Street in downtown Brainerd
Carnivorous Plant Puppets - 10 a.m. to noon at Lake Bemidji State Park. Meet at the Bog Boardwalk.
Fall Bazaar - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buhl-Kinney Senior Center in Buhl
Revive Virginia Food Truck Festival - 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Virginia
Summer Muse Festival - 4 to 8 p.m. at Rail River Folk School in Bemidji
Starapalooza - 5 to 11 p.m. at Long Lake Conservation Center near Palisade
Iron Range Barn Dance - 6 p.m. at Kaleva Hall in Virginia. Dance to live acoustic music from Leatherwood. All dances will be taught. All ages welcome.
Bemidji Contra Dance - 6:30 p.m. at Suzy and Hondo School of Dance in Bemidji. Dance to live acoustic music from the O'Neil Family Band. All dances will be taught. All ages welcome.
Annie - 7 p.m. at Pequot Lakes High School Auditorium
"The Authentic Voice" Stay Human Storytelling Concert - 7 p.m. at Klockow Brewing in Grand Rapids

Sunday, Sept. 21

Fall Equinox Mending Circle - 10 a.m. to noon at Lake Bemidji State Park. Meet at the visitor center.
87th annual Chicken & Ham Dinner - 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Wilton
Annie - 2 p.m. at Pequot Lakes High School Auditorium
National Alliance on Mental Illness walk - Registration at 2:30 p.m., walk at 3 p.m. at Klockow Brewing in Grand Rapids
