- Snowed In Swap - 9 a.m.-noon at Happy Dancing Turtle in Pine River. Find used puzzles, books, games, DVDs and CDs at this no cost event. If you have items to donate, they may be dropped off noon to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, or 8 a.m.-noon Friday, Jan. 16. You do not need to donate items to take items.
- Bingo - 12:30 p.m. at Buck Lake Improvement Club, 12 miles north of Nashwauk. Games begin at 1 p.m. with lunch available for purchase.
- Winter Lecture Series - 1 p.m. at Forest History Center in Grand Rapids. This presentation will delve into conservation, reclamation and repurposing practices over the past 120 years of Minnesota’s iron mining history.
- Brrrmidji Kids Can Ice Fish - 1-3 p.m. at Lake Bemidji State Park. Meet at the park's visitor center. This event is part of the statewide Take a Kid Ice Fishing weekend.
- 2nd Annual Cardboard Classic - 3 p.m. at Deer River sledding hill
Sunday, Jan. 18

- Community meal - noon-3 p.m. at CHAIR in Virginia
