- Brown Bag Author Series - noon at Brainerd Public Library. Jack Kraywinkle will discuss his book of short stories, North of Highway 2.

- Hope House Bemidji 45-45-45 fundraiser - begins at 3 p.m. and continues for 45 hours to celebrate their 45th anniversary.

Thursday, Nov. 6
- Cultural Thursday - noon at the Chalberg Theater at Central Lakes College in Brainerd. Author Julie Jo Larson will talk about exploring Minnesota through writing.
- Digital Well-Being Through Community Action webinar - noon. Hosted by the Grand Rapids chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness. Attendees will learn strategies to support community initiatives that promote digital health and wellness. Registration link.

- Iron Range Council of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribes meeting - 6 p.m. potluck feast, followed by meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Marble City Hall.

Friday, Nov. 7
- Artist receptions - 4-7 p.m. at MacRostie Art Center in Grand Rapids. The Giinawind Gallery presents "Generations," a group exhibit featuring Indigenous artists and the Minnesota Gallery features "For the Love of Trees" by Duluth artist Sue Rauschenfels.
- Opening reception - 5-7 p.m. at Northwoods Friends of the Arts in Cook. The gallery is featuring Native American art for the month of November.
- Opening reception for the annual "It's Only Clay" exhibit - 5-7 p.m. at Watermark Art Center in Bemidji. Awards and presentations begin at 5:30 p.m.
- Learn to Curl - 6-7:30 p.m. at Itasca Curling Club in Grand Rapids. Bring clean athletic shoes and wear warm, comfortable clothes.

Saturday, Nov. 8
- Pancake breakfast fundraiser - 8-10:30 a.m. at the Bemidji Senior Center
- Alpha Delta Kappa Craft Sale - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Hibbing National Guard Armory
- Wandering Reindeer Bazaar - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids
- Craft & Bake Sale - 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at New Salem Lutheran Church in Turtle River
- Pine River Market Square - 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Warehouse in Pine River
- Family Create Second Saturday - 1-3 p.m. at MacRostie Art Center in Grand Rapids. Take part in family-oriented art activities for ages 4 and up.
- Tailgate Pantry - 3-5 p.m. in the Paul Bunyan Mall parking lot (near Hobby Lobby). Bring and/or take shelf-stable food or hygiene items.
- Bemidji Contra Dance - 6:30 p.m. at Suzy and Hondo Dance Studio. Optional potluck dinner begins at 5:30 p.m.
