COHASSET — The city of Cohasset is hosting a community meeting to discuss its comprehensive plan.
Residents, business owners, property owners and community stakeholders are invited to participate in the meeting scheduled 6-8 p.m. June 25 at Cohasset City Hall.
The comprehensive plan serves as the community’s long-range vision and guides decisions for the next 20 years, a news release stated. The plan will help shape important topics such as housing, transportation, economic development, parks and recreation, community facilities, infrastructure and taxes.
The meeting will be conducted in an open-house format, and there will be no formal presentation or set agenda. Instead, community members can visit interactive stations, learn about planning topics, share their ideas, and provide feedback on the future of Cohasset.
“Good towns don’t happen by accident,” the release stated. “The parks our children play in, the roads we travel every day, the businesses we want to attract, and the services we rely on are all influenced by the decisions made today. This meeting is an opportunity for residents to help guide those decisions and ensure the plan reflects the community’s priorities.”
Community members are encouraged to attend, whether they can stay for 20 minutes or the full two hours. Families are welcome, and attendees will have the opportunity to enter a drawing by participating.
For more information about the comprehensive plan process, contact the city of Cohasset at 218-328-6225.
