BIWABIK — Indivisible groups from across the Iron Range will host a candidate forum for Democrats seeking the party's endorsement for candidacy in Minnesota's 8th District.
The event will begin with a meet-and-greet at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, at the Biwabik Park Pavilion, 100 Fifth Ave. N. The candidate forum will begin at 6 p.m.
All nine candidates were invited to participate, including Emanuel Anastos, Luke Gulbranson, Bob Helland, Jeremiah Liend, John-Paul McBride, Carrie Mitchell, Wendell Smith, Trina Swanson and Debra Topping.
Organizing groups include Indivisible-Iron Range in Biwabik and Aurora, We Are Rising and Resisting of Chisholm and Hibbing, Northern Progressives of Cook and Tower, Ely Indivisible of Ely and Tower and the regional Democracy Defenders.
The event is free and open to the public.
