CARLTON — Gov. Tim Walz appointed Tom Radovich to the Minnesota Forest Resources Council.
Radovich of Carlton is the current executive vice president of Minnesota Forest Industries. Earlier in his career, he was the managing director of Sappi Cloquet Pulp and Paper Mill.
“The MFRC thanks Tom for the expertise and commitment he brings to advising on forestry issues affecting our state,” stated Council Chair Pete Aube in a news release.
“Tom contributes to the cooperative spirit that underpins the Council’s approach to protecting the long-term balance of economic, ecological, and social forest values.”
Radovich will be the forest products industry representative on the 17-member Council, which aims to cooperate across diverse interests to manage the state’s forests.
“I'm honored to be the forest products industry representative for the Minnesota Forest Resources Council. The [Council] has been instrumental in supporting forest policy that maintains a proper balance between all the stakeholders that utilize this wonderful natural resource,” Radovich stated.
“Minnesota's forests are a cornerstone of our economy and way of life in the Northland. I look forward to working with fellow MFRC members to advance sustainable forest management policies and showcase how our industry drives a renewable, circular economy that benefits everyone.”
Radovich’s appointment is effective through Jan. 4, 2027.
