FOSSTON — Essentia Health-Fosston is inviting the community to its 21st annual Tree Walk for Hospice event Sunday, Nov. 30.
The event is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be at the Magelssen Elementary School, 700 First St. E., Fosston.
Attendees can stroll through decorated Christmas trees created by local businesses, organizations and community members, and bid on their favorite tree through a silent auction. The Fosston-Lengby Lions Club will serve up a free-will donation pancake and sausage breakfast 10 a.m. to noon. A remembrance program with a candle-lighting ceremony will follow the breakfast at 12:15 p.m.
Crystal angel ornaments will be available for purchase in honor or memory of a loved one.
Funds raised from the event will support specialized care for patients and families served through hospice.
“This cherished event is more than just a fundraiser — it is a celebration of love, remembrance and the incredible support of our community,” stated Shannon Nordine, home care and hospice manager at Essentia Health-Fosston, in a news release. “Every dollar raised helps us provide the specialized, compassionate care that our hospice patients and their families deserve during life’s most tender moments.”
For more information on how to sponsor the event, donate items for the silent auction or to purchase an ornament, call 218-435-7670 or visit the hospice office, 900 Hilligoss Boulevard SE.
For those grieving the loss of a loved one this season, Essentia Fosston will also host a holiday grief support group 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, in its education room.
