CASS LAKE — Leech Lake Tribal College named Erin Stresow as its next president.
Stresow is expected to start the position July 7. She will succeed former president Helen Zaikina-Montgomery and interim president Stacie Lyon.
There will be a meet-and-greet 1-2 p.m. July 21 in the Drum Room on campus. Additionally, there will be an investiture ceremony at Cedar Lakes Event Center at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 17.
According to the college, Stresow brings nearly two decades of leadership experience to the role. Her experience spans tribal government, nonprofits and corporate environments. She is most recently the senior director of diversity, equity and inclusion at Colorado State University Pueblo. She holds a doctorate in business administration with focuses on organizational leadership and development.
Along with her executive leadership experience, Stresow has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in business management through multiple institutions. She founded a consulting company and authored both a cookbook and children’s book.
A news release from the college called her a “transformative, servant leader committed to advancing student success, institutional resilience and community impact.”

The library will have to raise its own $30,000 by Sept. 1, 2026, to receive the anonymous grant. The money will be used to increase public hours in 2027.
