When our neighbors are in need of food, organizations and volunteers across Northern Minnesota step up.

Food shelves, community meals and soup kitchens aim to fill the gaps when people are experiencing hunger.

Amid one of the longest government shutdowns in U.S. history, an estimated 440,000 Minnesotans will not receive the government benefits that help them get food on the table starting Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, like those provided through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and the Minnesota Family Investment Program.

Compiling information from a multitude of sources, the KAXE News Team put together this list of food-related resources across the region. You'll find hours of operation and locations of food shelves, along with information on soup kitchens and community meals. We've included contact information when needed and links for more info. We intend to keep this updated with changes.
