The Minnesota Department of Transportation is seeking online public comment on its Greater Minnesota Transit Plan.
MnDOT would like people to take its survey, share their experiences using transit and vote for their top transit priority in Greater Minnesota. It also asks people to share where they currently ride transit or where they wish it was available.
The agency's plan aims to set priorities and outline strategies to enhance public transit across rural and urban areas outside the Twin Cities. The project's first phase included learning how people use transit and gathering ideas to improve service.
The plan is expected to be approved and published sometime this fall or winter. Documents for implementing the plan are expected to be developed next summer.
