GRAND RAPIDS — Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids announced it will change its name to reflect its longstanding relationship with Fairview Health Services along the Iron Range.
The organization will now be known as Fairview Grand Itasca.
"This new name represents more than a change in signage; it reflects the strength of our continued partnership with Fairview and our shared vision for the future of healthcare," stated Jean MacDonell, president and CEO of Fairview Grand Itasca, in a Tuesday, Sept. 1, news release.
The transition will occur over the coming months, with updated signage, digital platforms and patient communications, a Tuesday, Sept. 1, news release stated. The change will not affect patient appointments, medical records, insurance coverage or services currently offered.
“The updated organization name gives us an opportunity to better communicate who we are today and the collaborative approach that defines our organization," stated Cassi Chrzanowski, Fairview Health Services' regional marketing and communications manager.
"Our refreshed identity honors our history while highlighting the partnership that is helping to shape our future. We look forward to introducing our new brand to the community while maintaining the trust our patients have placed in us."
