EVELETH — The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be placing bridge beams at Highway 53 and Highway 37 between Tuesday, July 15, and July 18 in Eveleth.
Those traveling on Highway 37 may see delays of up to 10 minutes while beams are moved from trucks and put in place. The work will happen during the day. Highway 53 through-traffic will continue.
The current Highway 53 detours will continue through late August. Detour maps and more information can be found on MnDOT's website.
Drivers should obey the posted speed limits as the fine for speeding in a work zone is $300, MnDOT stated in a news release. They should also avoid unnecessary lane changes and do zipper merges when merging.
