CASS LAKE — Authorities are investigating the death of a male found in a rural Cass Lake yard Sunday, Sept. 13.
Deputies and other first responders were called to the area of John Moose Drive Northwest in Pike Bay Township around 8 a.m. after a man was found unresponsive, according to a news release from the Cass County Sheriff's Office.
Upon arrival, the male lying in a residential yard was pronounced dead.
Assisting Cass County with the investigation are Leech Lake Tribal Police, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Minnesota State Patrol.
An autopsy is scheduled with the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.
No further information, including the identity of the male, was released as of Monday morning.
