Games under the Friday night lights and meets in the crisp autumn air are nearly over as the fall sports season wraps up.
But as October approaches its end, playoff season for high school athletics is just kicking off.
Below are the dates and locations of the fall state tournaments, as well as which teams and students have qualified.
As more student-athletes run, pass and swim their hearts out for a chance to make it to state, we’ll update our list, so you know who you can root for in the postseason season.

Football State Tournament
Date: Nov. 7-9, 14-16 and 22-23
Location: Quarterfinals at various sites; semifinals and championships at U.S. Bank Stadium
Section championships are scheduled for Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
Cromwell-Wright Area Cardinals, Section 5 9-Player
No. 3 Cromwell-Wright Area lost to No. 2 North Fertile-Beltrami 7-48 in the quarterfinals in Moorhead.
No. 2 Cromwell-Wright Area upset No. 1 Nevis 20-14 in the Oct. 31 section championship in Brainerd. Nevis was the top-ranked 9-player team in the state.
Fertile-Beltrami Falcons, Section 6 9-Player
No. 2 North Fertile-Beltrami are the 2024 9-player state champions. The Falcons beat No. 2 South Hills-Beaver Creek 20-8 in the Prep Bowl on Saturday, Nov. 23.
Fertile-Beltrami beat No. 1 South LeRoy-Ostrander-Lyle-Pacelli 60-33 in the semifinals Thursday, Nov. 14.
The Falcons beat No. 3 North Cromwell-Wright Area 48-7 in the quarterfinals in Moorhead.
No. 1 Fertile-Beltrami beat No. 2 Fosston 51-15 in the Oct. 31 section championship at the Fargodome.
Fertile-Beltrami is the third-ranked 9-player team in the state, going undefeated in the regular season.
Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers, Section 7 9-Player
No. 1 North Mountain Iron-Buhl fell 20-26 in a close match with No. 2 South Hills-Beaver Creek in the semifinals Thursday, Nov. 14. The Rangers attempted a comeback with less than a minute left, before throwing a game-sealing interception.
The Rangers beat No. 4 North Stephen-Argyle Central 38-6 in the quarterfinals at Grand Rapids High School.
No. 1 Mountain Iron-Buhl beat No. 2 Cherry 34-28 in the Nov. 1 section championship at Mesabi East High School in Aurora. Cherry was the ninth-ranked 9-player team in the state.
Mountain Iron-Buhl is the second-ranked 9-player team in the state, going 8-0 in the regular season.
Stephen-Argyle Central Storm, Section 8 9-Player
No. 4 North Stephen-Argyle Central fell to No. 1 North Mountain Iron-Buhl 6-38 in the quarterfinals at Grand Rapids High School.
No. 2 Stephen-Argyle Central defeated No. 5 Warren-Alvarado-Oslo 42-14 in the Oct. 31 section championship at the Fargodome.
Deer River Warriors, Section 7A
No. 3 North Deer River fell to No. 2 North Mahnomen/Waubun 6-14 in the quarterfinals Friday, Nov. 8, at Becker High School.
No. 1 Deer River beat No. 2 Mille Lacs 8-6 in the Nov. 1 section championship in Cloquet.
Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds, Section 8A
No. 2 North Mahnomen/Waubun lost to No. 3 South Springfield 16-30 in the semifinals Saturday, Nov. 16.
The Thunderbirds beat No. 3 North Deer River 14-6 in the quarterfinals Friday, Nov. 8, at Becker High School.
No. 1 Mahnomen/Waubun beat No. 2 Red Lake County 36-8 in the Oct. 31 section championship at the Fargodome. Red Lake County was the tenth-ranked 1A team.
Mahnomen/Waubun is the third-ranked 1A team in the state, ending the regular season undefeated.
Staples-Motley Cardinals, Section 6AA
No. 3 North Staples-Motley are the 2024 Class AA runners-up. The Cardinals lost 26-42 to No. 2 South Jackson County Central in the championship Friday, Nov. 22.
Staples-Motley beat No. 1 South Chatfield 36-24 in the semifinals Friday, Nov. 15.
The Cardinals upset No. 2 North Barnesville in an exciting quarterfinal match at St. Cloud Tech High School that went into two overtimes. Staples-Motley came out on top 46-44.
No. 1 Staples-Motley defeated No. 3 Osakis 36-30 at the Nov. 1 section championship at the Fargodome.
Staples-Motley is the tenth-ranked 2A team in the state, going undefeated in the regular season.
Pequot Lakes Patriots, Section 7AAA
No. 2 North Pequot Lakes fell to No. 2 South Dassel-Cokato 26-29 in the semifinals Saturday, Nov. 16.
The Patriots beat No. 3 North Annandale 22-15 in the quarterfinals Saturday, Nov. 9, at Rocori High School in Cold Spring.
No. 1 Pequot Lakes beat No. 2 Two Harbors 36-15 in the Oct. 31 section championship at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
Pequot Lakes is the second-ranked 3A team in the state, going 8-0 in the regular season.
Hermantown Hawks, Section 7AAAA
No. 2 North Hermantown fell to No. 3 North Orono 21-49 in the Nov. 7, quarterfinals at Alexandria Area High School.
No. 2 Hermantown beat No. 1 North Branch Area 35-28 in the Nov. 1 section championship in Duluth.
Hermantown is the 10th-ranked 4A team in the state, finishing the regular season 7-1.
Girls Swimming & Diving State Tournament
Date: Nov. 14-16
Location: Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center at the University of Minnesota
There are eight individual swimming events, three relays and one diving event. The top two contestants in each individual swimming and relay event qualify for state. Four divers from each section advance to state.
Additional contestants can qualify for state if they meet the predetermined time standards but do not finish high enough to qualify based on standing.
At state, the top eighth competitors in each event medal, and the first through third place teams receive trophies.

Rilee Durovec, senior
Durovec placed eighth in 1M diving, finishing with a score of 336.5.
Durovec was in eighth place following the semifinals Thursday, Nov. 14, with a score of 247.2.
She was in third after preliminaries with a score of 170.45.
Durovec placed first in 1M diving at the section meet with a score of 357.75.
Grand Rapids, Section 7A
200 Medley Relay
Seniors Sylvie Ledermann, Emily Ericson and Neveah Hoard and freshman Lauren Rauzi finished 17th in preliminaries with a time of 1:57.22.
Ledermann, Ericson, Rauzi and sophomore Marlene Ericson placed second at the section meet with a time of 1:55.56.
400 Freestyle Relay
The Grand Rapids relay team finished 19th in preliminaries, racing a 3:53.52.
Seniors Emily Ericson, Sylvie Ledermann, Kelsie Zimmer and Neveah Hoard took second in the race at the section meet, finishing with a time of 3:47.74.
Emily Ericson, senior
Ericson finished 20th in 50 free preliminaries with a time of :25.99.
She finished 24th in the 100 free preliminaries, racing a :59.26.
Ericson tied for first in the 50 freestyle at the section meet, swimming a :24.90.
She also qualified in the 100 freestyle, winning the event with a time of :55.20.
She also qualified as part of the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.
Kennedy Garner, freshman
Garner placed 19th, finishing the meet with 214.85 points.
She snagged the last spot in the semifinals Thursday, Nov. 14, with a preliminaries score of 138.75.
Garner placed third in 1M diving at the section meet with a score of 325.05.
Neveah Hoard, senior
Hoard finished 23rd in the 100 free preliminaries, racing a :56.72.
Hoard finished second in the 100 freestyle at the section meet with a time of :55.67.
She also qualified as part of the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.
Lauren Rauzi, freshman
Rauzi finished 17th in the 100 breaststroke preliminaries, swimming a 1:11.48.
Rauzi took second in the 100 breaststroke at the section meet with a time of 1:11.23.
She also qualified as part of the 200 medley relay.
Hibbing, Section 7A
Raini Gibson, junior
Gibson placed 14th in the 50 freestyle, swimming a :24.86. She placed 12th in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.43.
Gibson finished 14th in the 50 free preliminaries with a time of :24.89.
She finished 16th in the 100 fly, swimming a 1:01.29.
Gibson tied for first in the 50 freestyle at the section meet, swimming a :24.90.
She also qualified in the 100 butterfly, winning the event with a :59.96 finish.
Sylvie Wetzel, senior
Wetzel finished 27th of 32 divers, finishing the Thursday, Nov. 14, preliminaries with a score of 127.85.
Wetzel earned the final state qualifying spot in 1M diving at the section meet with a score of 302.45.
Mesabi East, Section 7A
200 Medley Relay
Seniors Summer Cullen, Ashley Fossell, Kyra Skelton and Aubree Skelton finished 18th in preliminaries with a time of 1:57.97.
Cullen, Fossell, Kyra Skelton and Aubree Skelton took first at the section meet with a time of 1:55.44.
200 Freestyle Relay
Seniors Ashley Fossell and Kerbie Olmstead and sophomores Dallas Layman and Mae Layman finished 21st in preliminaries with a time of 1:46.17.
Fossell, Olmstead, Dallas Layman and Mae Layman took second in the race at the section meet with a time of 1:44.50.
400 Freestyle Relay
The Mesabi East relay team finished 18th in preliminaries with a time of 3:48.04.
Seniors Aubree Skelton, Adeline Butzke and Kyra Skelton and sophomore Mae Layman won the event at the section meet with at time of 3:44.81.
Summer Cullen, senior
Cullen finished 22nd in the 100 backstroke preliminaries with a time of 1:03.35.
Cullen took second in the 100 backstroke at the section meet, swimming a 1:02.76.
She also qualified as part of the 200 medley relay.
Proctor-Hermantown, Section 7A
Norah Gunderson, senior
Gunderson placed 13th in the 100 breaststroke finals with a time of 1:09.55.
She finished 11th in the 100 breaststroke preliminaries, swimming a 1:08.82.
Gunderson swam a 2:19.21 in the 200 IM preliminaries, finishing 22nd.
Gunderson won the 200 individual medley at the section meet with a time of 2:17.58.
Gunderson also won the 100 breaststroke, swimming a 1:09.96.
Rock Ridge, Section 7A
200 Freestyle Relay
Juniors Paige Robillard, Allison Anderson, Samantha Bartovich and Amelia Kober finished 18th in preliminaries, swimming a 1:43.3.
Robillard, Anderson, Bartovich and Kober won the event at the section meet with a time of 1:43.25.
Samantha Bartovich, junior
Bartovich finished 20th in the 500 free with a time of 5:34.36.
Bartovich took second in the 500 freestyle at the section meet, finishing with a time of 5:37.92.
She also qualified as part of the 200 freestyle relay.
Paige Robillard, junior
Robillard finished 21st in the 500 free, swimming a 5:35.4.
Robillard won the 500 freestyle at the section meet, swimming a 5:34.04.

Two Harbors, Section 7A
Bella Imholte, junior
Imholte placed sixth in the 200 freestyle, swimming a 1:56.6. She placed seventh in the 100 backstroke with a time of :58.77.
Imholte placed fifth in the 200 free preliminaries with a time of 1:56.33.
She also finaled in the 100 backstroke, finishing seventh in preliminaries with a time of :58.86.
Imholte won the 200 freestyle at the section meet with a time of 1:56.07.
She also won the 100 backstroke, swimming a :59.02.
Detroit Lakes, Section 8A
Grace Hamm, eighth grader
Hamm placed 14th in the 100 butterfly, swimming a 1:00.63 in the state finals.
Hamm finished 13th in the 100 fly preliminaries with a time of 1:00.78.
She finished 17th in the 500 free with a time of 5:31.44.
Hamm won the 100 butterfly at the section meet, swimming a 1:00.50.
Hamm also won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:30.94.
Hope Hamm, senior
Hamm placed ninth in 1M diving, finishing the state meet with a score of 336.05.
Hamm was in sixth place following the semifinals Thursday, Nov. 14, with a score of 248.65.
She was in eighth after preliminaries with a score of 163.9.
Hamm took second in 1M diving at the section meet, scoring 357.8.
Park Rapids, Section 8A
200 Freestyle Relay
The Park Rapids relay team placed 14th overall with a time of 1:42.83.
Seniors Addison Lauwagie and Mylee Edevold and sophomores Whitney Seifert and Avery Schueller finished 12th in preliminaries, racing a 1:42.15.
Lauwagie, Edevold, Seifert and Schueller took second at the section meet with a time of 1:41.79.
400 Freestyle Relay
The Park Rapids relay team placed 13th in the state meet with a time of 3:43.93.
The Park Rapids relay team finished preliminaries in 14th with a time of 3:45.36.
Seniors Addison Lauwagie and Mylee Edevold and sophomores Whitney Seifert and Avery Schueller won the event at the section meet with a time of 3:43.47.
McKenzie Himango, senior
Himango finished 24th in the 200 IM preliminaries with a time of 2:26.73.
Himang took second in the 200 individual medley at the section meet, swimming a 2:23.32.
Addison Lauwagie, senior
Lauwagie finished 18th in the 100 fly preliminaries, swimming a 1:01.65.
Lauwagie took second in the 100 butterfly at the section meet with a time of 1:02.16.
She also qualified as part of the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay.
Allie Rowland, senior
Rowland placed 16th in 1M diving with a score of 312.3.
Rowland was in 13th place following the semifinals Thursday, Nov. 14, with a score of 244.7.
She was in 13th after preliminaries with 154.6 points.
Rowland won the 1M diving event at the section meet with a score of 381.
Avery Schueller, sophomore
Schueller won the 100 freestyle consolation final, finishing ninth overall with a time of :53.19.
Schueller tied for 28th in the 200 free preliminaries with a time of 2:04.75.
She finished 12th in the 100 free preliminaries, swimming a :53.95.
Schueller took second in the 200 freestyle at the section meet with a time of 2:01.82.
She also qualified by winning the 100 freestyle, swimming a :53.77, and as part of the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay.
Bemidji, Section 8AA
Kennedy Olson, senior
Olson placed 16th in 1M diving with a score of 338.35.
Olson was in 14th place heading into finals after finishing semifinals with a score of 259.9 She had 169.35 points after preliminaries.
Olson earned the final state qualifying spot in 1M diving with a score of 343.5.
Brainerd, Section 8AA
200 Freestyle Relay
The Brainerd relay team placed second in the state meet with a time of 1:35.19.
Senior Mya Tautges, juniors Avery Duerr and Isabelle Ploof and sophomore Aralyn Marcelo won the preliminaries, racing a 1:35.59.
Tautges, Duerr, Ploof and Marcelo won the event at the section meet with a time of 1:36.59.
400 Freestyle Relay
The Brainerd relay team placed sixth in the state meet with a time of 3:32.59.
Senior Mya Tautges, juniors Avery Duerr and Isabelle Ploof and sophomore Aralyn Marcelo finished fifth in preliminaries with a time of 3:32.5. They'll race in the finals, which begin 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16.
Tautges, Duerr, Ploof and Marcelo won the event at the section meet with a time of 3:33.19.
Avery Duerr, junior
Duerr placed eighth in the 100 breastroke with a time of 1:06.39.
Duerr finished preliminaries in sixth, swimming a 1:05.62.
Duerr took second in the 100 breaststroke at the section meet with a time of 1:05.06
Isabelle Ploof, junior
Ploof placed 16th in the 50 freestyle with a time of :24.4. She placed 13th in the 100 freestyle with a time of :52.71.
Ploof finished 16th in the 50 free preliminaries, swimming a :24.3.
She finished 10th in the 100 free preliminaries with a time of :52.49.
Ploof took second in the 50 freestyle at the section meet, swimming a :24.21.
Ploof also placed second in the 100 freestyle at the section meet with a time of :52.36.
Mya Tautges, senior
Tautges won the 50 freestyle event at the state meet with a time of :22.79. She placed third in the 100 freestyle with a time of :50.45.
Tautges won the 50 free preliminaries, swimming a :22.88.
She finished third in the 100 free preliminaries with a time of :50.58.
She'll race in the finals for both. Finals begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16.
Tautges won the 50 freestyle at the section meet with a time of :23.28.
Tautges also won the 100 freestyle at the section meet, swimming a :50.45.
Girls Soccer State Tournament
Date: Oct. 22-24, 29-30 and Nov. 1
Location: Quarterfinals at various sites; 3rd Place Match at West St. Paul Regional Athletics Center; Championship at U.S. Bank Stadium
One team from each section qualifies for the state tournament.
Esko, Section 7A
No. 5 Esko took third in the 2024 MSHSL Class A state tournament, beating No. 3 St. Charles 3-1.
Esko fell to No. 1 Southwest Christian 1-2 in the semifinals.
They beat No. 4 St. Cloud Cathedral 1-0 in the quarterfinals after winning a shootout 3-1.
No. 1 seed Esko beat No. 3 seed Marshall School 1-0 after winning a shootout 3-2 in the Oct. 15 section championship at home.
Cloquet-Carlton Lumberjacks, Section 7AA
No. 4 Cloquet-Carlton lost to No. 5 Orono 2-1 after losing a shootout 3-4 in the quarterfinals on Oct. 23. They end the season 15-2-1, according to MSHSL.
No. 2 seed Cloquet-Carlton beat No. 1 seed Hermantown 2-1 in the Oct. 15 section championship in Hermantown.
Boys Soccer State Tournament
Date: Oct. 22-24 and Oct. 30-Nov. 1
Location: Quarterfinals at various sites; 3rd Place Match at West St. Paul Regional Athletics Center; Championship at U.S. Bank Stadium
One team from each section qualifies for the state tournament.
Cloquet-Esko-Carlton Lumberjacks, Section 7AA
CEC lost to No. 3 Blake 2-4 in the quarterfinals on Oct. 23. They finished the season 15-3, according to MSHSL.
No. 1 seed CEC beat No. 2 seed Hermantown 3-2 in the Oct. 15 section championship at home.
Bemidji Lumberjacks, Section 8AAA
Bemidji lost to No. 1 Minneapolis Washburn 3-0 in the quarterfinals on Oct. 23. They end the season 14-3-2, according to MSHSL.
No. 2 seed Bemidji beat No. 1 seed Buffalo 1-0 in the Oct. 17 section championship in Buffalo.
Girls Tennis State Tournament
Date: Oct. 22-25
Location: Class A at Reed-Sweatt Tennis Center in Minneapolis; Class AA at Baseline Tennis Center at the University of Minnesota
In tennis, athletes can qualify individually or as a team. Players can compete in both team and singles or double play.
One team and the top two finishers in singles and doubles from each section qualify for state.
Crookston Pirates, Section 8A
No. 2 Crookston finished fourth in the Class A state tournament, losing to No. 4 Pine City 3-4 in the third place match. The Pirates finish the season 21-6, according to tennisreporting.com.
Crookston lost to No. 3 Litchfield 3-4 in the semifinals.
Crookston beat unranked Providence Academy 5-2 in the first round of the state tournament.
No. 2 Crookston beat No. 4 Staples-Motley 4-3 on Oct. 11 to qualify for the state tournament.
Bemidji Lumberjacks, Section 8AA
Unranked Bemidji lost to No. 3 Mounds View 1-6 in the first round of the state tournament.
Bemidji then lost to East Ridge 2-2 Tuesday evening. The team finished their season 26-2, according to tennisreporting.com.
No. 1 seed Bemidji beat No. 3 seed Brainerd 5-2 to qualify for the state tournament.
Tori Oehrlein, Crosby-Ironton, Section 7A
Tori Oehrlein lost to No. 2 Fatemah Vang of The Blake School 4-6/1-6 in the second round, ending Oehrlein's season.
She beat Maple River's Tabitha Barkosky 6-2/6-2 in the first round.
Junior Oehrlein placed first in singles at sections and is 28-0.
Jenna Stoerzinger and Nikki Crocker, Pequot Lakes, Section 7A
Jenna Stoerzinger and Nikki Crocker lost to No. 1 Camila Pardo and Nora Ibrani of The Blake School 1-6/2-6 in round one of the consolation bracket, ending their season.
They lost to Lake City's Thèrèse Bauer and Rylee Thieren 4-6/5-7 in the first round.
Senior Stoerzinger and junior Crocker placed first in doubles at sections and are 4-0.
Ronnie Noska, Staples-Motley, Section 8A
Ronnie Noska is the Class A consolation runner-up, losing to Pine City's Brooke Boland 1-6/1-6 in the championship.
Noska beat Maple River's Tabitha Barkosky 6-4/6-0 in the consolation semifinals. She beat Morris' Lydia Sweep 6-0/6-1 in round one of the consolation bracket.
Noska lost to No. 3 Casey Cronin of Holy Family Catholic 6-0/6-4 in the first round of the state tournament.
Sophomore Noska placed second in singles at sections and is 26-4.
Braylee Wienen, Thief River Falls, Section 8A
Braylee Wienen lost No. 1 Chloe Alley of Minnehaha Academy 1-6/1-6 in the second round, ending Wienen's season.
She beat Montevideo's Brooke Lindemann 6-4/7-6 (4) in the first round.
Junior Wienen placed first in singles at sections and is 18-6.
Addie Fee and Kaylie Clauson, Crookston, Section 8A
No. 4 Addie Fee and Kaylie Clauson are Class A doubles consolation runners-up, falling to No. 2 Kaylee Endres and Anna Fiemeyer of Wadena-Deer Creek 1-6/3-6 in the championship.
They beat No. 1 Camila Pardo and Nora Ibrani of The Blake School 6-2/3-6/1-0 (1) in the consolation semifinals. Fee and Clauson beat Holy Family Catholic's Tali Bellefy and Meg Santini 6-3/6-4 in the first round of the consolation bracket.
They lost to Maple River's Macy Sohre and Kelsey Jaeger 4-6/1-6 in the first round of the state tournament.
Seniors Fee and Clauson placed second in doubles at sections and are 17-5.
Anna Fiemeyer and Kaylee Endres, Wadena-Deer Creek, Section 8A
No. 2 Anna Fiemeyer and Kaylee Endres are the 2024 Class A doubles consolation champions, beating No. 4 Kaylie Clauson and Addie Fee 6-1/6-3.
They beat Belle Plaine's Lydia Sparby and Kayla Streich 6-4/7-6 (1) in the consolation semifinals. Fiemeyer and Endres beat Pipestone's Alicia Haack and Vivian Brockberg 6-1/6-1 in the first round of the consolation bracket.
They lost to Pine City's Vivian Lahti and Kate Unverzagt 5-7/3-6 in the first round.
Juniors Fiemeyer and Endres placed first in doubles at sections and are 22-1.
Alli Fink and Mayme Scott, Rock Ridge, Section 7AA
Alli Fink and Mayme Scott lost to Tessa Trivedi and Ella Roberts of Minnetonka 4-6/2-6 in the first round of the consolation bracket, ending Fink and Scott's season.
They lost to No. 2 Astrid Kerrman and Raya Hou of Edina 1-6/4-6 in the first round.
Senior Fink and Sophomore Scott placed second in doubles at sections and are 10-1.
Elena Peterson and Megan Berg, Bemidji, Section 8AA
Elena Peterson and Megan Berg lost to No. 1 Malea Diehn and Keely Ryder of Rochester Mayo 1-6/1-6 in the second round, ending Peterson and Berg's season.
They beat Eden Prairie's Elzeda "Zadie" Walvatne and Sravika Vadrevu 3-6/6-3/6-4 in the first round.
Senior Peterson and junior Berg placed first in doubles at sections and are 10-1.
Boys Cross Country State Tournament
Date: Nov. 2
Location: University of Minnesota Les Bolstad Golf Course
The top two teams from each section and top six individuals who are not members of the top two teams qualify for state.
Teams earn points based on their first five runners' rank (one point for first, two for second, etc.), and the lowest score wins. Teams can have up to seven runners, with the sixth and seventh runners having the potential to displace other athletes, lowering opposing teams' scores.
If schools have fewer than five runners finish, their places are displaced and the next runners are bumped up in team scoring.
Grant Nelson, Wadena-Deer Creek, Section 6A
Junior Grant Nelson ran a 16:53.5 5K in the Class A state meet, taking 26th of 160 runners.
Nelson ran a 16:47.9 5K in the Oct. 24 section meet, placing eighth overall and fifth among individual state qualifiers.
Greenway/Nashwauk Keewatin Titans, Section 7A

The top two teams from each section and top six individuals who are not members of the top two teams qualify for state.
Teams earn points based on their first five runners' rank (one point for first, two for second, etc.), and the lowest score wins. Teams can have up to seven runners, with the sixth and seventh runners having the potential to displace other athletes, lowering opposing teams' scores.
If schools have fewer than five runners finish, their places are displaced and the next runners are bumped up in team scoring.
