DULUTH — Jen Schultz announced Tuesday, Jan. 23, her campaign for Congress in Minnesota’s Eighth District.
This will be the Democrat’s second run for office in the district currently represented by Republican Rep. Pete Stauber, in office since 2018.
Schultz has lived in Duluth for 20 years and teaches at the University of Minnesota campus there. She previously served in the state legislature for eight years.
In a news release, Schultz said during that time, she successfully secured millions of dollars of investment in the Duluth area and championed measures to increase access to affordable health coverage and reduce the cost of prescription drugs.
Schultz said after entering the race late in 2022, she is organizing her campaign earlier this time around.
