BOVEY — The 112th celebration of Bovey Farmers Day will be Friday, Sept. 1, through Monday, Sept. 4.
Friday events will include a library book sale that continues all weekend, and the Taste of Bovey/Coleraine Community Picnic. People are encouraged to bring their own chairs. The event will include music by Kenny, Lenny, and Jackie.
Saturday will have a Western Mesabi model railway display that will be available the rest of the weekend starting at 10 a.m. At 8 p.m., the White Sidewalls Band Street Dance will begin, followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Sunday activities include a chalk drawing contest, and the Future Raiders Boys Basketball Shooting Experience at 2 p.m. The day concludes with Night Out activities including a fire demonstration, Touch the Truck, and a K-9 demonstration.
Monday activities include a vegetable stand, the grand parade, Gearhead Car Show, another Future Raiders Boys Basketball Shooting Experience, Shriner motorcycles, kids’ games and bingo.
