Tuesday, Aug. 11 (Minnesota's Primary Election)
- Tuesday Summer Concert Series - noon at First Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, featuring tunes from Broadway and beyond with area musicians.
- Brainerd Night Out - 5-7 p.m. at Gregory Park. Enjoy free hot dogs, games and music while meeting local law enforcement and neighbors.
- Lacrosse Try-It Night - 5:30-7 p.m. at Nashwauk Township Fields. Hosted by Grand Rapids Amateur Lacrosse Association.
Wednesday, Aug. 12
- Beltrami County Fair - 9 a.m.-close in Bemidji
- North STAR Center grand opening - 2 p.m. at Beltrami County Fair Grounds in Bemidji
- Local books event - 5 p.m. at Bemidji Public Library. Meet several local authors, explore a variety of books and connect with fellow book lovers.
Thursday, Aug. 13
- Beltrami County Fair - 9 a.m.-close in Bemidji
- Junk journal class - 10 a.m. at Bemidji Senior Center
- Carlton County Fair - 11 a.m.-10 p.m. in Barnum
- Noon Hour Concert - 12:15 p.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Park Rapids featuring vocalist and pianist Wyatt Parthun
- Wine and Beer Tasting - 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Sanford Center in Bemidji. Proceeds benefit United Way of Bemidji Area.
Friday, Aug. 14
- Beltrami County Fair - 8 a.m.-close in Bemidji
- Carlton County Fair -8 a.m.-10 p.m. in Barnum
- Rummage and bake sale - 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Bemidji Senior Center
- Central St. Louis County Fair - 10 a.m.-8 p.m. in Meadowlands
- Mines and Pines Revisited - 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Bennett Park in Hibbing
- North Country Trail Association group hike - 6 p.m. Meet at Itasca County Family YMCA in Grand Rapids for a brief ice cream social, followed by four mile hike to East Rapids Elementary. You can either catch a ride back to the Y or hike back.
- The Cover of Life - 7 p.m. at Bemidji Community Theater
Saturday, Aug. 15

- Carlton County Fair - 8 a.m.-10 p.m. in Barnum
