Northern Minnesotans in the process of switching to their winter wardrobes can donate clean, gently used coats to give them new life through coat drives.

Loggers, vendors and timber industry representatives will attend, as well as lawmakers and roughly 200 high school students as part of the Future Forest Stewards program.

Rayne Heck and Phineas Cole Holmes join the "KAXE Morning Show" to discuss Bemidji Pride events from Aug. 21-23, 2025.

Scam Jam will include speakers on topics such as the tactics criminals use to commit fraud. It will also have a mini-expo for resources as well as a talk about Medicare fraud.

The community is invited to the celebration, which will include keynote speaker, Keith Turner, Dean of Student Success, Equity, and Inclusion at Minnesota North College.

The bonspiel is free and open to the public. Games are 4-11 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, and 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday. Semifinals and finals games start at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Kootasca Community Action is hosting Brown as part of its "Big View Community Engagement" series at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, in Grand Rapids.

This is the second gathering hosted by the organization that says it’s facing budget shortfalls, low staff numbers and space limitations for its after-school child care program.

Offered will be free hair trims, food, clothing and hygiene items, along with a variety of social services.
