DEER RIVER — Lloyd Kongsjord, Scott Ramsdell Jr. and Pam Thompson have won the election for Deer River School Board.
Incumbents Kongsjord and Thompson will return to office, where they'll be joined by newcomer Ramsdell.
Candidates Richard Fieldsend, Timothy M. Frits and Carrie Johnson did not earn enough voters for a spot on the Board.
Several school board candidates joined KAXE and ICTV for a candidate forum in September.
The school board is responsible for setting the school district budget, adopting district policies and hiring and overseeing the superintendent. The Deer River School District currently faces budget cuts after an attempt to establish a four-day school week failed earlier this year.
Kongsjord, Thompson and Ramsdell will begin their four-year terms in January.
