First-term state Sen. Nathan Wesenberg, R-Little Falls, will continue to represent Senate District 10 in St. Paul.
Wesenberg routed DFL challenger Tara Killen in the deep red district.
District 10 includes Morrison County and portions of Aitkin, Benton, Crow Wing, Isanti, Kanabec and Mille Lacs counties, including the cities of Aitkin, McGrath and Fort Ripley.
The Republican was first elected in 2022 following a decisive victory against DFLer Suzanne M. Cekella. He was previously a wildlife biologist for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
Wesenberg will now serve another four-year term starting in January.
Killen is a resident of Maple Grove Township in southern Crow Wing County and works as a project manager for Frontier Integrity Solutions.
