Council member Sheila Lamb and former Mayor Dave Hallback will both advance to the Cloquet mayoral general election on Nov. 3, 2026.

Sheila Lamb and Dave Hallback are advancing to the Nov. 3, 2026, general election, based on unofficial results from Minnesota's primary election.

CLOQUET — Sheila Lamb and Dave Hallback will advance to the ballots in November as they vie to be the next mayor of Cloquet.

Current Cloquet Mayor Roger Maki is retiring at the end of his term.

Lamb is the current Ward 2 councilor and garnered the most votes during the Tuesday, Aug. 11, primary election, with 1,010 cast in her favor.

"I am very grateful to those supporting me in this race for Mayor. I will continue working hard door knocking, doing meet and greets, and pushing forward. Congratulations also to Dave Hallback on moving forward," Lamb said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

Hallback, who was Cloquet's mayor from 2014-18, was a distant second with 691.

Peter J Erickson will not advance to the next election after earning 449 votes.

"I want to thank everyone for the support over the last few months! I will never be afraid to live my life and voice my opinions for the greater good!" Erickson said in a Wednesday Facebook post.
