The nursery has a strong supply of oak seedlings this year, offering landowners a chance to grow one of Minnesota’s majestic trees, and more than 20 other native coniferous and deciduous tree species.

Motorists can expect flagger and pilot car operations as the project is underway through mid-October 2025.

Participants will learn which types of tree seeds and cones the DNR purchases, how to collect and handle seeds and cones, and standards for cleaning and preparing seeds for sale to the DNR.

Twelve new automatic license plate readers went up in Bemidji and other MN cities in May 2025. But the Flock Safety cameras raise concerns with privacy advocates.

The closure will last about two weeks as crews work to resurface the road and replace culverts. The project will wrap in September.
