- Lumberjack Mile and 5K - 8 a.m. registration, races at 9 a.m. at Grand Rapids Public Utilities. Proceeds benefit the United Way's School Pantry Coalition.
- Virginia Area Historical Society's annual Fall Fest - 4 p.m. at the Lions Club Building in Olcott Park. Grilled burgers and brats provided, and the featured speaker is Mark Sage.
- Grand Rapids Riverfest - Gates open at 2 p.m. Enjoy music by Alan Sparhawk, Jeremie Albino, Margo Price and Courtney Barnett. Buy tickets now.
