Shores of Leech Lake.

It's July, and time to enjoy those 11,842 lakes! This week, we want to know what you like to do around Northern Minnesota's lakes and rivers.

Ah, summer! Time to enjoy Minnesota's many lakes and waterways.

What are your favorite things to do in or on the water?

Here's what we heard

Karen from Cohasset said she likes to photograph loons, ducks and swans from her pontoon.

Ian from Minneapolis texted, "My favorite thing to do is grab a bar of patchouli soap and take a morning bath in a cool fresh water lake. It's absolutely refreshing!"

Dawnette from Grand Rapids said, "I love to float on my back and open my eyes to see the clouds and blue sky and sing a bit of Flora Purim's 'Open Your Eyes and You Can Fly.' It works."

Lisa from Balsam Township said her top three things were "Floating, canoeing, and cruising on the pontoon."

Bill texted, "Swimming and kayaking daily on my beautiful pristine lake in the Chippewa National Forest."
