Summer is in full swing in Northern Minnesota. Here are some ideas for what to do:
Blackduck
The Blackduck Annual Woodcarvers Arts and Craft Festival is Saturday July 27 from 9-4pm at Blackduck Wayside Park.
Puposky
Tickets are now on sale for the musical comedy Something Rotten at Wild Rose Theater in Puposky, on July 25-29. Seating is limited and tickets are only for sale at McKenzie Place in Bemidji from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Brainerd
Central Lakes College Performing Arts Center presents the musical The Prom, from July 23 through Aug. 1, at the Chalberg Theater in Brainerd. Find tickets and schedule here.
Chisholm and Marble
Kids’ musician Will Hale performs at Arrowhead Libraries in the Region this week. On Wednesday, July 24, he will be at Chisholm Public Library at 10:30 a.m., and in Marble at 2 p.m. Find a full schedule here.
Virginia

The Virginia City Band plays Thursday, July 25, at 7pm in Olcott Park. Concerts are in Bob Baldrica Bandstand in the heart of Olcott Park in Virginia for six Thursdays in June and July. The band plays a variety of music under the direction of Bill Lavato and Ryan Freitas.
Hibbing
The City of Hibbing presents "Hibbing on Howard," from 5 to 7 p.m. on Mondays in July. The event features food trucks, games, and activities for all ages with a different theme each week. This week’s theme is Pirates and Mermaids. There’s a special “teen hour” from 7 to 8 p.m.
Bemidji
Friends of Lake Bemidji State Park will benefit from Pint Night at Bemidji Brewing on Wednesday, July 24, from 4-7 p.m. Funds raised will go toward updating the park’s playground to be more adaptable and inclusive.
Anishinaabe Art Festival on July 26-27 will feature more than 50 artists and exhibitors. The event is at a new location: Hobson Memorial Union at Bemidji State University.
LaPrairie
The 6th annual Scott Olson Memorial 5K run and walk is on Saturday, July 27, at Ryan Park in LaPrairie Saturday, July 27. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with the run and walk starting at 9 a.m.
