TWIG — A 67-year-old man is dead after he was trapped underneath a tracked snow groomer in St. Louis County.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office stated in a news release that first responders arrived at the scene around 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, for a rescue, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a Wednesday update, the man was identified as Timothy Peterson of Grand Lake Township.
The groomer was an older piece of equipment operating on a driveway in Grand Lake Township on Carlson Road.
The release noted the incident took place on private property with private equipment, and not on a snowmobile trail.
