ST. PAUL — The Warroad girls hockey team is the 2026 Class A runner-up.
The top-seeded Warriors lost to No. 2 Breck School/Groves Academy 4-1 in the championship game Saturday, Feb. 21, at Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul.
In the semifinals, Warroad flipped the results of last year’s championship by beating No. 4 Dodge County 6-5 in overtime.
The Dodge County Wildcats beat No. 5 Proctor-Hermantown 3-2 in overtime in the first round. The Mirage rallied to beat Luverne (4-0) and Mankato East (1-0) to claim the title of consolation champion.
In Class 2A, Bemidji was the consolation runner-up, losing to Farmington 3-2 in overtime.
The Lumberjacks beat Lakeville North 2-0 in the consolation semifinals after losing to Edina 6-4 in the first round.
Bemidji defenseman Millie Knott was named to the 2A all-tournament team, and Warroad defenseman Vivienne Marcowka and forwards Olivia Anthony, Jaylie French and Taylor Reese were named to the 1A team.
