Warroad and Moorhead won the 2026 boys hockey titles, marking the first back-to-back all Northland champions in the two-class era.

The four teams will represent rural Northern Minnesota in the state tournament March 4-7, 2026, in the Twin Cities.

Warroad, Proctor-Hermantown and Bemidji represented the rural Northland in the girls hockey state tourney. Bemidji was the consolation runners-up.

Bemidji is making its first state tourney appearance since 2007, while Warroad and Proctor-Hermantown hold the first- and second-longest appearance streaks.

Aitkin, Badger, Clearbrook-Gonvick, Cook County, Crosby-Ironton, Deer River, Hibbing, Lake of the Woods, Roseau, Wadena-Deer Creek, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, Warroad & Win-E-Mac are the districts with special elections.
