BEMIDJI — Roadwork will force two detours on Highway 2 near Bemidji in August, with the first starting Monday, Aug. 18.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation said both detours will last approximately four days.
The westbound lanes from Washington Avenue Southeast to Division Street will be detoured starting Monday. The detour will follow Washington Avenue Southeast to Division Street.
The eastbound lanes from Washington Avenue Southeast to Hubbard County Road 36 will begin Aug. 25. The detour will follow Highway 71 south to Beltrami Line Road, then to County Road 36.
Thru traffic will not be allowed during the detours to ensure the safety of workers as they replace culverts.
The project is expected to wrap up in late August.
