HUBBARD — The Minnesota Department of Transportation is inviting the public to an open house ahead of construction on Highway 87 near Hubbard.
The open house will be 4 to 6 p.m. on April 30 at the Hubbard Community Center. Residents and other interested stakeholders can drop in to visit with project managers, with no formal presentation planned.
Beginning May 19, a MnDOT contractor will reconstruct Highway 87 from Highway 71 to east of Hubbard.
Traffic will be detoured to Highways 34 and 71 during construction, but residents and businesses will be able to access their properties.
A nearby project on Highway 87 will also begin in August. The eastern project includes resurfacing and culvert replacements from Hubbard County Road 13 to Highway 64 and should be completed by September.
