GRAND RAPIDS — The Minnesota Department of Transportation will host a public meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Yanmar Arena to share alternatives for the Highways 2/169 corridor through Grand Rapids and La Prairie.
MnDOT is evaluating existing traffic volumes, operations and safety and looking into the future to account for growth and anticipated development.
The study will provide intersection and corridor recommendations aimed at increasing safety for all traffic and increased pedestrian and bicycle usage to and from destinations on both sides of the highways.
The alternatives that will be presented are based on feedback and traffic statistics.
Doors at Yanmar open at 5 p.m. with a presentation at 5:30 p.m.
For those unable to attend, materials will posted on the project website. There will also be a community survey available at the public meeting and on MnDOT’s website, asking for feedback on the proposed alternatives.
