WALKER — As the days begin to get longer, many Minnesotans may already have summer camping on their minds.
Select campsites at the Mabel Lake Campground in the Chippewa National Forest will be available for reservations beginning Jan. 27.
The campground joins other Chippewa National Forest campgrounds that can be reserved through the USDA's Forest Service website.
Mabel Lake has 21 sites, with 10 reservable and 10 remaining on a first-come, first-serve basis. One site is set aside for the campground host.
The Forest Service reported that campsite reservations may fill quickly and is encouraging visitors to plan ahead.
