- Chalk the Block with Brainerd Lakes Women of Today - 9:30-11 a.m. Meet at Passport restaurant, 606 Laurel St., downtown Brainerd. Spread positivity by drawing or writing uplifting messages in chalk.
Wednesday, Aug. 27
- John Masog Memorial Rotary Golf Benefit - 1-3 p.m. at Headwaters Golf Club in Park Rapids. Proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Park Rapids
Friday, Aug. 29
- Field Day - 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Central Lakes College Ag and Energy Research Center in Staples
- 10 Years of American Kestrel Research - noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Sax-Zim Bog near Meadowlands. Meet at the Lois King Education Center.
Saturday, Aug. 30
- Summer Muse Festival - 4 to 8 p.m. at Rail River Folk School in Bemidji. A celebration of the creative spirit of the season with artists, live music and food vendors.
- Nighttime Neighbors: Minnesota's Bats! - 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Sax-Zim Bog near Meadowlands. Pre-register online.
Sunday, Aug. 31
- Pancake breakfast - 8 to 10 a.m. at Lake Bemidji State Park. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Lake Bemidji State Park. Bring your own plates and utensils to help the environment.
- Native American Music and Arts Festival - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post in Onamia
