The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is accepting comments now through 4:30 p.m. Dec. 26 on proposed rule changes for a new electronic licensing system.
The new system is currently under development and will launch in the spring.
The DNR said the changes are needed to align administrative rules with statutory changes made this year in support of a new electronic licensing system.
"The new system will improve customer experience when purchasing a hunting or fishing license, renewing watercraft and recreational vehicle registrations or registering for a training course," the DNR said in a notice.
More information on how to submit comments is available on the DNR website.
